Build a Stool from Scratch

Instructors: Dennis Dolph, Ed Ferguson, Julie Niemeyer, Bob Oswald and Class Coordinator, Bob Sokolov

This two day, hands-on class is designed for beginning woodworkers, however, all skill levels are welcome. In this class the students will start with a 4 inch slab a wood and proceed to build a custom sized stool using loose tenon joinery. During the class the students will learn to use the Jointer, Plainer, Horizontal Mortiser, Multi- Router, Table Saw, Band Saw, and Glue- up and Clamps.

Materials are an extra cost of $35, cash or check written to the Guild, payable at the first class. This gives the student the option to bring their own wood, if desired. Please speak with the coordinator about dimensions. There will be four instructors so there will be plenty of help available. Lunch is included both days.

This is a one time only, introductory priced class. Future classes will be priced higher so don't delay.

Please pay using PayPal or by check made to the order of Guild of Oregon Woodworkers. Reference the class title on your check and mail to: Class Coordinator Bob Sokolow 3943 NE 35th Ave, Portland, OR 97212, 503.730.3158, bobsokolow@yahoo.com
