Free Program - Overview of Classical Carving

Presenter - Chuck Rinehart

This program is NOT at the Guild, it is in Tualatin, where the Western Woodcarvers hold their monthly meetings.  The address is:

Winona Grange
8340 SW Seneca St
Tualatin, OR

It is a bit hard to find because it is an old building tucked in an area of contemporary commercial buildings.  Call Larry Wade at 503-312-7745 if you get lost.

This program is sponsored by the Western Woodcarvers Association (WWA), a club that was started before our Guild.  They hold monthly meetings, and sometimes they have presentations, including this one.

You don't have to register, but it would help us figure out how to setup the room.

Chuck Rinehart now teaches classical carving classes at the Guild.  He has 60 years of woodworking experience, and a few decades of that has been carving, but focused on embellishing furniture projects.  Classical carving is old-school, with origins in Europe.  There are a several possible variations.  Chuck spent three months in residence learning from one of the top classical carvers in the world, and has been practicing and teaching in Rochester NY before moving to Portland in May 2017.

If you are interested in taking your projects to another level of refinement, and want to consider carving, this is a good program to attend.

For questions, contact Larry Wade,, 503-312-7745.
