Basics Lecture 5 - Joinery – 19-1

Instructor-Jeff Zens

Jeff is a regional woodworking instructor and the co-author and a primary instructor with "Woodworking at the Next Level", the Guild's wildly successful hand tool-based series of woodworking classes. He offers private instruction in his shop in Salem, Oregon, where he designs and builds custom pieces for clients throughout the Pacific Northwest.

In this fifth lecture of the Basics series, you will examine common woodworking joints used every day in furniture construction.  Jeff will provide visual examples of each joint, discuss the many ways each can be constructed, and offer fabrication suggestions based on your own unique circumstances.  Come to this class with your joinery questions and issues and work toward a common-sense solution.

This one of seven Basics Lecture classes that is offered to beginner level woodworkers. We recommend that you take any of these classes you feel you need in any order that fits your schedule.
