Basics Lecture 1- Introduction to Woodworking 

Instructor – Eddee Edson

This class gives an overview to wood and woodworking. It is designed to give the student a basic understanding of the terms and vocabulary of woodworking, types of wood, how it is cut, graded and sold. The class will also review general safety issues including wood allergies, tools, hearing, sight, and dust control.

This one of seven Basics Lecture classes that is offered to beginner level woodworkers. We recommend that you take any of these classes you feel you need in any order that fits your schedule. 

This class does not cover the requirements for a White Card. You must take the Safety & Orientation class to gain the White Card.
