Carving Hints & Helps with Mary May 19-1

Mary is a nationally-known wood and stone carver specializing in the traditional European style.  She teaches extensively in the US and Germany, has been the featured guest several times on Roy Underhill's TV program, runs an online carving school with a large and wide variety of lessons, and does commissions.  Most of her classes are five days long and she always includes side tidbits about things she has learned along the way.

In this program, Mary will present a variety of those tips and techniques that are valuable to beginning and intermediate wood carvers.  There will also be an opportunity to pose questions in writing, and if time, they will be answered.

This will be a large audience format in the MAC auditorium where she will use slides and projected closeups of demos, but will not involve hands-on by attendees.

COST of the session is $50 and includes refreshments and a buffet lunch.

If you have any questions, please contact Larry Wade at  For information about Mary May and her online school, click here.

Registration and payment required online.  The normal 7 day Guild cancellation policy will apply to this event.

This session is open to Guild members and the public  If interested or curious about Guild membership please visit the Membership webpage and consider Joining.
