The first "new" Professional SIG meeting will be Wednesday September 11, 7:00 pm in room 4 of the Multnomah Arts Center. Dennis Loveland, of Loveland Woodworks, a successful local fine furniture maker, will speak on his experience with the business aspects of founding and nurturing a woodworking company.

Purpose of the SIG

• Provide education and opportunities for aspiring professionals to grow their confidence and feel comfortable in the commercial woodworking field.
• Provide opportunities for networking among Guild professional members.
• Improve ways the Guild can be of benefit to professional members.
• Promote opportunities for professional members to display and sell their products at Guild events.

Here are the dates for the MAC meetings:

• Room 4 is reserved on September 11th and December 11^th from 7pm-8:30pm.
• Room 7 is reserved for October 9^th and November 13^th from 7pm-8:30pm.
