I am relatively new to the Guild and don't have a lot of woodworking experience.  I need to build two aquarium stands for myself this fall/winter.  Is there a way to get help by an advisor/mentor to do this project from the club?  I have a a fairly complete Shopsmith setup that I have had for a number of years but have not used a lot.  (I live in Clark County if that matters.)

    Hi Richard,

Welcome to the guild. I wanted to reach out to see if you have had any responses to your query for help. I would be more than willing to discuss and help you plan out your project. My time is stretched pretty thin (work and three young children) so either we can communicate via email, phone or your welcome to come out to my shop in Scappoose.

    Hi Richard,

I'm happy to help but like CJ also live a distance away, Forest Grove area.   I have written a couple of newsletter articles about basic but nice bases for things like an aquarium.  Have also used them successfully and attractively on a few projects in my living room.  I would be happy to share the concept with you, by email and phone if you like  503-985-7137.
