Gathering of the Guilds 2020

This show is the Guild of Oregon Woodworkers premier annual show.  it is one of the largest high quality art shows in the country.

Greetings woodworkers.  If you are a Professional level member of the Guild of Oregon Woodworkers, you have priority for booth space in the 2019 Gathering of the Guilds show.
Three years ago, the Potters rejoined the show which doubled the size to 60,000 sq. ft. and attendance tripled to over 15,000 visitors.  Last year, even with all the construction, we pulled in over 12,000 and many vendors reported that sales were up.     

This show covers 60,000 square feet in Portland’s prime show space, the Oregon Convention Center.  As in the past we join the following Guilds:

  • OPA - Oregon Potters Association  
  • PHG - Portland Handweavers Guild
  • CMAG - Creative Metal Arts Guild (jewelry)
  • OGG - Oregon Glass Guild
  • PBS - Portland Bead Society
  • GOOW -  Guild of Oregon Woodworkers

This is an outstanding opportunity for you to sell your products, advertise your business, and find new clients.  GOOW also has an opportunity to display a limited number of items item in the entrance Gallery (size permitting) to further promote your booth.  We plan to cycle items in the Gallery throughout the show. 

NOTE: You must be a member of the Guild to participate.

Booths are available on a first come, first serve basis with priority given to past vendors, professional members, then general members.

  • Move in – April 29, 30
  • Show – May 1-3 (This show is ideal for Mother’s Day shopping.)
  • Booths - Includes curtains around the booths, one free skirted table and a sign with your business name. Additional tables, carpet and electricity at additional charge.

    • 10’ x 10’ Booth - $495 (10 available)
    • 10' x 10' Corner Booth - $520  (4 available)
    • 10’ x 15’ Booth - $740  (4 available)
    • 10’ x 15’ Corner Booth - $765  (2 available)
    • $100 deposit due Dec 1, Remaining fee due April 1, 2020
    • Booth space open to Professional members now to Dec 1
    • Booth space (if available) is open to all members after Dec 1, 2019
Notes:
  1. PHOTOS OF YOUR WORK: Submit a few good photos of your work, preferably of items that you will be selling. Required by the end of January! If you have difficulty making professional quality images, contact Vince Corbin who can help with a studio and good lighting and photo equipment. The photos need to have NEUTRAL BACKGROUNDS so they can be used in advertising!

PAYMENT INFORMATION

Registration and payments are a bit different this year. We highly encourage payments on-line rather than a check.  It is a three step process;

Step 1 - REGISTRATION - Select a booth size and options and enter your
information as requested.

Step 2 - DEPOSIT - Pay your deposit and optional parking

Step 3 - BALANCE - You will have an open invoice waiting to be paid. 
Pay this by April 1.

YOUR DEPOSIT MUST BE PAID BEFORE YOU ARE OFFICIALLY REGISTERED.

  1. STEP 1 - Register for the show at HERE.  You will select your booth size, booth options and provide required information for the show.  This will result in the website indicating how much you owe and send you an invoice for all charges.  DO NOT PAY THIS!  You will receive an email which gives you a link to pay the deposit.

  2. STEP 2 - Pay your deposit HERE.  A $100 deposit is required at time of registration.  Also if you want a 5-day parking pass ($50), pay for it now.  There are only 12 available so they will go fast.
  3. STEP 3 - Pay rest of your fees by April 1.  To pay the rest of your fees at anytime log into the website.  When you log on, it will indicate that you owe $xxx.  Note: if you try to pay for another event or renew membership, it requires you to pay everything.  Contact Roger Crooks for help with this issue.
