The Project Build Team

One of the Guild’s service activities is the Project Build Project.  The group participating in this project makes wood products that are donated to worthy causes, such as Toys for Tots, or sold at various venues, such as the Gathering of the Guilds.  All proceeds from sales go to support our Guild programs.  In the past year, the Product Build group has made boxes, step stools, doll cradles and end grain cutting boards.

This is an ongoing project and new participants are welcome.  It’s is a good opportunity for members…whether highly skilled or beginning woodworkers…to get acquainted with the Guild Shop, work with other members on a project that benefits the Guild, and enhance their woodworking skills.  It is also an opportunity to develop machine skills needed for Green Card certification.  As with other community projects, there are no shop fees for participation.

The Project Build group has standing shifts in the Guild Shop on Wednesday afternoons from 1:00-5:00pm.  You are welcome to drop in on a session and introduce yourself.  If you have any questions about the program, please contact Ed Ferguson at
