Hi folks,

I have a MDF router jig and I want to put a wooden band around it to protect the sides. I don't want the mdf to swell or deform because I need the jig to be flat. Are 18 gage or finish nails out of the question? Pre-drilled screws? Miller dowels?  Is yellow glue good for this project or should I consider using a Fastcap 2p-10 type two part adhesive?
