I just joined the guild tonight! I’m a carpenter, just getting into furniture making. I want to do some green woodworking, so I’m pretty interested in your maple logs. I’d like to try splitting my own boards. I guess from what I’ve read that they need to be straight-grained and free of knots in order to be used as I intend to.
