    Benefits from Using the Shop

    • Beginners – Don’t have tools, space or budget?   You can start your woodworking experience using the Guild’s shop, tools and space.  Learn what tools to buy and how to use them.
    • Intermediate Woodworkers– Want to upgrade your tools, skills or need space for your next project?  Many members will do the heavy power tool work in the Guild’s shop and finish work at home.  Or you may need an expensive specialized tool or accessory that is hard to justify for one project.
    • Professionals – Need access to professional grade tools?  The specialized tools available in the Guild’s shop will save you time and money.  This includes a Wide Belt Sander, Sliding Table Saw and multi-routers.
    • Working Space and Storage– Have a project but no space to work?  We offer free bench room use for your project plus on-site storage so you do not have to cart your project back and forth from home. (space is limited - check with the shop attendant)
    • Budget – We all have limited budgets.  Good tools are expensive and cheap tools are frustrating.  The Guild offers free use of high quality hand tools.  Our power tools are professional grade and will save you time and deliver superb results.
    • Fellowship & Advice – Talk shop with other enthusiasts.  Drop in during open shop time and discuss your project and/or problems with other members.  Advice you get before and during a project can be invaluable.

    Key Benefits of the Shop

    • Cost– Multiple options available from less than $5/hour to unlimited use.  Best deal in town.
    • Professional Equipment– Most of us have big-box store budgets with high-end dreams.  The shop is stocked with high-end professional machines and hand tools for utmost accuracy and time savings.
    • Training– Our Skills classes teach how to best use these machines.  We have priced the classes at below market rates as a benefit for members to improve their skills.
    • Free Maintenance– For you, not us.  Maintaining these machines are a cost we absorb to insure the machines are operating safely and accurately.
    • Free Accessories – You can never have enough clamps so bring your project into the shop and use ours or other accessories such as router bits, drill bits, and other expensive accessories.
