What the Guild Can Do For You
Shop (INFO)Stocked with top quality industrial equipment, the shop is the gathering place for members working on their own projects. Qualified members can purchase a shop card at very reasonable rates which does not expire. A shop attendant is always on-duty during open shop time to ensure your safety and answer questions. Free Shop Time - Use the shop bench room and hand tools for free. Use of the Machine room requires completion of Core Tools Certification and purchase of Shop time hours. Free Library - Check out a wide assortment of books, Magazines, and DVDs on woodworking Discounts - Our sponsors offer discounts for most supplies, lumber and other tools to Guild members. SPONSORS Social Interaction with WoodworkersThe Guild provides many opportunities for enjoying the social aspects of an organization. Team Activities - Participate in the activities listed in the next section such as the Toy Team, Product Build, etc. Attend meetings - The Guild meets once a month to hear about Guild activities, participate in a raffle, and listen to the featured guest speaker. Also a good time to meet your fellow members. Monthly Meet-Ups - For new (and old) members, join us at our Guild Meet-Up the first Monday of the month and learn more about the Guild. Check the calendar for details of the next Meet-Up. Education (INFO)The Guild offers classes for all skill levels from beginners to advanced and in various types of woodworking from small box making to large cabinets, furniture, and other woodworking projects. Safety - Our emphasis is on safety. We ask all members who plan to use the shop or take classes to attend an Introduction to Guild Safety Class offered twice per month. Upon completion, you will get your Guild Card which allows you to take classes and be in the shop for many activities. Use of the machine room requires additional safety classes. Classes - Take classes from our many skilled instructors. Classes range from 4 hour sessions to 5 day sessions. We strive to keep class prices as low as possible -just covering costs. Skill Classes - These classes teach a specific skill in using power tools such as Table Saws, Bandsaws, Routers, etc. Project Classes - These classes are hands-on classes where students make a project. Project examples range from simple cutting boards to advanced furniture projects. SIGs - We have Special Interest Groups for Women, Hand Tools, Boxes, Chairs and CNC Tools. | What You Can Do For The Guild
Volunteers (INFO)Volunteers are the life blood of the Guild. Without volunteers, the Guild would cease to exist. We strongly encourage you to volunteer your time to the many needs of the Guild.
