Special Interest Groups are a subset of members, focused on a particular subject area. They hold free meetings on a monthly basis and have discussions and hands-on demonstrations. Five groups currently exist: Carving SIG - The Carving SIG is a forum for the discussion, demonstration and education about Carving. Contact the SIG Leader for more information or to be added to the SIG email list. Hand Tool SIG - The Hand Tool SIG is a forum for the discussion, demonstration and education about woodworking using hand powered tools. Contact the SIG Leader for more information or to be added to the SIG email list. Women’s SIG - The Women’s Special Interest Group (SIG) holds free events the first Thursday of the month to build skills, projects, and friendships. Women members of all skill levels are invited to learn from each other and expert guests as they collaborate on wood projects. In 2019 we worked together to build a workbench and then worked on individual small boxes. January 2020 will start a small Arts & Crafts side table project. See the Education Calender for details.
