Setting Up Shop with Asa Christiana
Asa Christiana is the former editor of Fine Woodworking and a writer/photographer based in Portland, OR.
From essential hand and power tools to tips for work surfaces, dust collection, shop storage, organization, layout, lighting, heat, mobile bases and other ways to save space, this two-part Zoom class will include something for everyone, from the total beginner to the dusty veteran. While Asa takes you on a tour of his cleverly outfitted workshop, housed in a one-car garage in SW Portland, he’ll place the emphasis on making your shops work better, no matter which tools you own and how much space you can devote to them.
Questions will be welcome throughout each 1 1/2 to 2 hour session, and there will be time for free discussion at the end of each one.
Note that the sessions are June 14, 2021 from 6 PM to 8 PM and June 21, 2021 from 6 PM to 8 PM. Julie Boyles will be the Zoom host and manage questions.
This class will be recorded and available to registrants on line for future reference.
