Enjoy Summer - Share Woodworking Joy - Help Kids Build Birdhouses!

To celebrate Multnomah Days we partner with the Multnomah Arts Center (MAC) to build birdhouses with kids and would love for you to join us! Guild volunteers from Project Build have prepared more than 200 kits for kids to assemble.

This fun, hands-on event runs from 9am-3pm during the street fair. The first shift meets at the Annex and will set up the booth; the second shift meets at the booth on SW Capitol Hwy in front of the MAC. Plan your transportation route; SW Capitol Hwy will be closed in the the heart of the village for the street fair.

Sign up as a birdhouse builder and bring a power screwdriver with a #2 square drive if you have one (not mandatory). Or sign up as co-leader...our long-time event leader, Bland McCartha wants to train a new person to lead this event. He'll be there to show you the ropes. This is an easy, well-run event but it always goes smoother when more of us understand where things are and other important details.

Building birdhouses with children in our community is one of our oldest Guild traditions. As one member put it, "There are more smiles per minute at this event than any other Guild event I have been part of."
