Cash DonationsThe Guild is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization focused on sharing experience, broadening woodworking education and community service. The majority of Guild revenues come from membership dues, with a smaller portion from our classes, estate sales, and product sales. The Guild's budget is set to run at slightly above break-even. Generous donations over the years have enabled the Guild to meet our goals, expand our activities, help us offer scholarships for classes and shop time, provide some free memberships for those in need and support our community service work.
Once a year there is an "end-of-the-year" request for donations and there is an option for donating when joining or renewing your membership.
2022 Capital Campaign - NEW!
Our long time neighbor, the Martial Arts School, is moving out in August, 2022 and we have added this space to our lease. This will double our classroom and bench space, provide space for our SIGs and enable us to offer many more classes. Improvements will start this Fall. This campaign will fund the enhancements. Please be generous.
What Are We Doing With The Money?
Purchases and expenditures for the new space include:
Phase 1 - Equipment and supplies including benches, tools, AV equipment, and supplies. Upgrades to the new space including lighting/ electrical, security, dust collection, and air filtration.
Phase 2 - Updates and upgrades to existing shop workspace: Improvements to address shop health and safety, additional soundproofing, dust collection, and air filtration, efficiency improvements, electrical, HVAC, and equipment purchases.
The Guild can also accept donations of certain wood related tools. These may be used within the Guild or more likely will be sold and revenues used for Guild operations.
All donors will receive a thank-you letter for tax purposes.
